 The Maya Centre
is a professionally-staffed, multi-ethnic,
women’s counselling
centre.
The core of the Centre’s
work is the provision of free, one-to-one
psychodynamic counselling, offered once
a week for a maximum period of one year
and a range of group therapy.
 As
a result of the very specific targeting
of
our services - to women on incomes below £8000
per annum and without degree level
education or previous experience of counselling
-
we are reaching women who would not
normally gain access to long-term therapeutic
support.
